CLEMENS-RIGLER TRAVEL & EARLY CAREER AWARDS
The Clemens-Rigler Travel Award is open to applications from Graduate Students registered in a Canadian University and presenting either a poster or oral presentation at the SCAS annual meeting. The Early Career Award is a travel award open to researchers attending the conference who are within 2 years post graduating.
Applicants to the Clemens-Rigler and Early Career Awards must use the online forms to submit their applications (no emails). Applicants can only apply to the Clemens-Rigler or Early Career Award, not both.
After the form is submitted, applicants will receive a response receipt. If a response receipt is not received, please contact: clemensrigleraward@gmail.com (Clemens-Rigler Award) or earlycareeraward@gmail.com (Early Career Award).
Applications will not be accepted after the deadline: 10 November 2022.
Who is eligible?
Graduate students registered in a Canadian university and presenting either a poster or an oral presentation at the SCAS annual meeting. Current students must apply as students, not Early Career Awards.
How much can one expect to get?
The committee attempts to distribute funds fairly among participants to the two conferences and to foster participation from all parts of Canada. Consequently the amounts awarded are based on available funding and are generally proportional to the cost of traveling to the conference. Awards typically range from $200 to $500.
When and how results will be made public?
The committee will meet a week or two after the application deadline, and applicants and respondents will be notified by email.
